Who's coming to 48hrs in the Valley in June?

It’s that time again! From June 16-17, 2014 the C100 will host 48hrs in the Valley. This time around, we turned to our C100 Partners, Charter Members and 48hrs Alumni to help us nominate the the best technology companies in Canada.  We had a great pool of candidates and after much deliberation, we will be welcoming sixteen of Canada’s top companies to 48hrs in the Valley.

How Can I get involved in 48hrs?

  • Not a 48hrs company but want to get involved? Portions of 48hrs will be open to the public. We have a small number of tickets available, so register HERE before we sell out! Please note: no tickets will be sold during the event or at the door.

  • We will be accepting a limited number of volunteers. Please email connect@thec100.org if you are interested. We will contact you if your availability meets our requirements.

Battlefy: Battlefy is turn-key solution for creating and managing eSports leagues and tournaments. 1.5 years after inception, Battlefy has gone from a 2 man side project to the fastest growing eSports platform in the world, powering over 1000 video game leagues, with more than 1.5 million players and viewers. eSports is the competitive play of video games as a sport. Last year an eSports championship sold out LA Staples Center in under an hour and attracted 32M+ live viewers on a Friday night. That is 2x the viewers of 2012 NBA finals on ABC and 10x that of 2012 Stanley Cup Finals.

Clearpath Robotics Inc. Clearpath Robotics provides proven intelligent mobile robot products, services & software to global organizations that rely on robotics technology to enable new products. Our robots are prototyping platforms to empower R&D departments to rapidly prototype new robotic systems. Once prototypes are complete, we partner with our clients to build custom robotic systems that are purpose built for their application. In all cases we look for opportunities to license our autonomous control software (our robot autopilot) into these global product development initiatives. This is a source of recurring revenue.

Farm At Hand: Farm At Hand is a multi-platform cloud based ERP that allows farmers to manage everything on their operation from seed to sale. They can track all of their field activities, inventory, contracts, deliveries, and even equipment management in one place. Because the data is stored in the cloud it allows for better communication and collaboration between the members of farming operation. Over the next 35 years farmers are going to have to produce twice as much food to feed a growing population. 75% of this food is going to come from efficiency improving technology. Software and Date are going to drive that technology and Farm At Hand is going to be the platform behind it.

Jibestream Inc.: Jibestream creates dynamic, real-time wayfinding applications that work on any touchscreen device (mobile, kiosk, web). Our proprietary NovoMap technology helps people of all abilities navigate complex spaces such as transportation hubs, hospitals and shopping malls from North America to Dubai. All of our installations use NovoMap, a proprietary application that delivers dynamic wayfinding maps and directions with accessible routing and rule-based software.

Mirametrix Inc.: Launched in 2011, Mirametrix makes true natural user interaction (NUI) with computers and electronic devices a reality through the integration of gaze tracking functionality  with other input modalities -- such as touch, gesture recognition, voice recognition, the mouse and keyboard. 

Mnubo: Mnubo makes Internet-Of-Things smarter. Mnubo provides Big Data and Analytics for IoT and M2M - to transform 'connected things' into 'smart objects.' Mnubo's focus is to help extract true value from sensor data by delivering advanced analytics, strategic insights, and enabling richer applications. Mnubo offers a SaaS solution to connected object manufacturers and other IoT players to connect, collect, and analyze their object data. Smart analytics is the key to monetizing IoT data. Mnubo's services enable businesses to derive strategic insights and actionable intelligence from their object data via a rich suite of IoT Data Analytics . Mnubo is helping companies unlock the future value of IoT, by addressing the next big question: "connected your object, now what?". Mnubo's services  benefit customers in wearables, home, automotive, industrial and healthcare verticles. 

Mojio: Mojio’s mission is to reinvent driving around your smartphone to keep you better connected to your favorite nouns. Mojio gives you information about your car and makes controlling music, texts and navigation a lot easier while you’re driving.  Mojio can talk to other things in your life too, automating the ordinary like pay parking, to the outstanding like…well, almost anything.  Mojio is also an open platform so it means people can create cool apps for our community. With Mojio, your car just got a whole lot smarter.  And driving just got awesome.

Pressly: Pressly makes it easy for marketers to create beautiful branded hubs that combine original, curated and social content around their topics of expertise. Pressly's platform is used by major publishers and brands including IBM, Intel, and Deloitte to deliver engaging content experiences across all devices. Brands use Pressly to centralize and surface content from disparate web and social properties to a brand-controlled domain and track user behaviour to quickly optimize and execute content-driven campaigns for acquisition and engagement.

Rubikloud: Rubikloud turns online and offline retail data into revenue. The Rubikloud solution easily connects multiple data sources into a single platform and applies both real-time and long-term machine learning techniques to generate specific recommendations for retailers. Big data platforms require the retailer to interpret the data; Rubikloud drills down to the vertically deep interpretation layer. With the Rubikloud solution, retailers will receive specific real-time and long-term recommendations that are always tied to revenue forecasts. 

SensorSuite Inc.: SensorSuite has developed a real-time building intelligence cloud platform for reducing operational risks and improving the performance and efficiency of buildings and real estate. The company has created a real-time Internet of Things machine cloud, big data analytics engine, and leading-edge sensors and controls which are used for real-time building controls and software interfaces that reduce energy costs, increase occupant comfort and allow owners and occupants to extract more value out of their space.

SoapBox Innovations Inc.:  SoapBox is a Innovation Management and Business Intelligence platform that is used by clients to achieve their strategic objectives through Engaged Innovation. By soliciting the preferences and opinions of employees, customers, partners, and suppliers, companies can begin to create a deeper connection and commitment in the context of business operations. The product has been purpose built to enable organizations to manage the flow of ideas from inception to business innovation.

Turnstyle Solutions: Turnstyle is dedicated to changing the physical retail landscape through the use of WiFi tracking in brick and mortar locations. Turnstyle’s services enable retailers to learn insights previously unattainable about their customer’s behaviour helping them to optimize operational performance, learn customer insights to improve the in-store experience, connect directly with end customers and automate loyalty and reward programs based on hyper-local notifications. Starting in just May of 2013 with only a proof-of-concept, Turnstyle is now active in over 500 retail locations worldwide, from international clothing retailers and national coffee chains to small independent stores. Turnstyle has developed strong partnerships in the hardware space, and is in pilot programs with some of the world’s largest companies.

VarageSale (Codified Inc.): VerageSale is building a new kind of social marketplace where people buy and sell in a friendly, safe, and community environment. It’s are available across multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, Kindle and web. What's truly unique about the platform is that "social" is at the center of everything: we're effectively building a social network with commerce on top rather than the other way around. Social is not an afterthought and drives engagement and transactions. The users come back daily to browse, shop and socialize.

FR8nex makes larger-than-parcel freight effortless. The FR8nex Saas tools enable customers to manage many different preferred vendors, while constantly sourcing cheaper freight. Currently, freight is bought and sold through the telephone orders with archaic freight brokers. FR8nex is automating the freight broker industry by offering a marketplace where manufacturers can find better freight options and trucking companies can acquire new customers without needing costly salespeople. FR8nex is a fraction of the cost of traditional on-premise proprietary software and is dragging the freight industry out of the 90's.

CogniVue Corporation is a leading innovator in embedded vision processing, providing both semiconductor processor technology IP and vision software. CogniVue helps customers develop previously impossible high-performance, low-power embedded vision applications for automotive, wearables and mobile markets. Already licensed to Freescale Semiconductor (USA), DMP Inc (Japan) and in production, CogniVue’s patented APEX™ image cognition processor (ICP) cores provide 100x better performance per area (mm2) and per power (mWatt) for vision processing compared to conventional processor architectures. With its proven expertise in embedded vision and its APEX development tools, CogniVue enables developers to design innovative, vision products such as low-power smart pens and smart back-up cameras - both of which will be in production in late 2014.

Sciencescape: Sciencescape is an online platform that connects scientists and clinicians to breaking research happening around the world. Like a personalized journal, you can subscribe to your world of research, or explore to discover landmark papers across history. Sciencescape is provided free for academics and as an enterprise solution for industry and government R&D scientists. The vast research knowledge graph provides data to the Pharma, Life Science Tools and Clinical Information industries that are built on the scientific literature.
