Mattrick's team drives development and marketing of Xbox 360, Xbox LIVE, the controller-free Kinect for Xbox 360, music and video services, TV and Mediaroom partners, and PC and mobile interactive entertainment, as well as manufacturing and supply chain management. Fortune Magazine in August 2011 named Mattrick one of the “Smartest People in Tech 2011” highlighting his leadership growing the Xbox business, including driving new consumer innovations such as Kinect. Why Gary? Gary Kovacs is the CEO of Mozilla Corporation with the responsibility for leading the overall direction of the organization and the Firefox Web browser.  Prior to joining Mozilla, Gary held senior leadership roles as Senior VP of Markets, Solutions & Products at Sybase (through its acquisition by SAP earlier this year), as General Manager and VP of Mobile & Devices at Adobe and as VP of Product Marketing at Macromedia (through its acquisition by Adobe).  Previously, he led the successful creation and growth of Zi Corporation, a company specializing in embedded software and services for mobile and consumer devices.  Prior to Zi Corporation, Gary spent 10 years at IBM in leadership positions in product management, sales, marketing and operations within the global software division.

Shawn Price, President, SuccessFactors

Why Shawn?  Before joining SuccessFactors, Shawn was the President of Zuora, Inc. where he helped build one of the fastest growing SaaS companies in the industry. Prior to this, Shawn worked with growth companies in the enterprise tech, SaaS, Cloud and consumer industries as an entrepreneur in residence at Battery Ventures. He also served as CEO, president and chairman of the board at Savvion and senior vice president and general manager of Vitria Technologies, where he guided the company to one of the most successful IPOs of 1999, achieving a $10 billion market cap. (He is also a race car driver - enough said.)

May 3rd: Breakfast with Ajay Royan 

Ajay Royan is founder and managing general partner of Mithril, and serves on its Investment Committee with Peter Thiel.  Mithril is a premier international growth capital firm based in San Francisco. He leads the firm’s investment team and advises companies on strategies for growth by combining insights from technology, macroeconomics, and finance. Mithril prioritizes technology investments around the world with the greatest long-term growth potential, including opportunities outside the traditional Silicon Valley zeitgeist. It also supports tech-enabled growth in traditional industries, and offers its portfolio companies guidance and access to its valuable network of tech industry trailblazers.

Before forming Mithril, Ajay was a managing director at Clarium Capital Management. Previously, he specialized in corporate strategy and innovation at Braxton Associates, a unit of Deloitte. He was born in India, raised in Abu Dhabi and Canada, and educated at Yale.
