Canadian Technology Success Map 2014

The C100 map is here! C100’s showcase of Canadian technology success has now officially become a tradition. Check out the 2nd annual map.

Below we’ve addressed the top FAQs about the map and our process. And we welcome further feedback. If you have questions not addressed here or ideas for next year, please email us at connect@thec100.org

Congratulations to all Canadian entrepreneurs on your outstanding success this past year.  We can’t wait to see what the next year will bring!

How do I get a map?

If you’d like to receive a printed copy, please fill out this form with your company, name and shipping address. Limited quantities available.

We’ve already sent copies to the companies listed on the map as well as all our Charter Members and Partners. Keep your eye out on the mail and hang it with pride.

So, what is this map anyway?

For the second year in a row, the C100 has produced a Canadian Technology Success Map to celebrate Canadian entrepreneurship in tech. With all the world-class innovation taking place in Canada, the C100 is highlighting a snapshot of tech success stories.  We’ve included a funding graph, recent Canadian acquisitions, success stories in the news, and the best part, Canada’s top tech companies.

What companies are on the map?

Companies on the map are represented with either text or logos and represent a mix of qualifications including:

 - Founders and CEOs who have participated in C100’s 2013 and 2014 48hrs in the Valley and CEO Summit events
 - Top market players representing Canada on a global scale
 - Top market players representing Canada on a global scale
 - Top market players representing Canada on a global scale
 - Up-and-comers who have raised more than $1M or who have demonstrated significant growth in the last year

What does the funding graph represent?

This graph shows the amount of money raised by companies that have gone through C100 programs, as well as money invested by our C100 charter members back into Canadian companies. Jointly, this represents almost $1B in funding to support Canadian entrepreneurs.

How do I get on the map?

Canada has a rapidly accelerating technology landscape and a dynamic startup scene and there is no shortage of talent. Unfortunately for our map (and graphic designer) one fact remains: only so many company names can fit onto 1 image. In addition to our alumni companies, we included as many companies as possible who demonstrated significant growth and activity this past year. If we missed a company who you think fits the bill, not to worry - we are looking at a process for next year to allow for nominations.
